When we heard REM being sung, we knew something was up!
It was Friday and the center was PACKED, more than 60 kids coming in and out, hanging out, playing games, talking, texting, relating, having fun, resolving mini issues and basically being kids.
The girls soccer team didn’t have a game and they commandeered the kareoke machine and started an impromptu kareoke party. It was 12 and 13 year old girls singing REM? What? Cool!
Meanwhile outside Sunny and Billi and some community volunteers were busy grilling burgers and dogs donated by Hannaford and getting ready for the onslaught. And they came, yes they did…we had parents, friends, curious community members and all the kids enjoying the free food, fun and sunshine and learning about what E=MC2 is about and where it’s going.
There’s a lot going on over here at 26 Union Street and we’d love to see you and tell you more about it. Come by anytime!
